Q: What are compatible ink & toner cartridges?
A: Compatible ink & toner cartridges are designed to be a direct fit replacement for the original cartridge your printer accepts.  Compatible cartridges are generally molded from new plastic parts, all new components, new drum or print head, and filled with high quality ink or toner.

Q: What are remanufactured ink & toner cartridges?
A: Remanufactured ink & toner cartridges from Professor Ink are based off of the original manufacturers cartridge, and then disassembled, checked for worn parts, cleaned, refilled, and then tested to ensure quality and compatibility.  Our remanufactured cartridges only see one use before they are remanufactured for resale.  These "virgin" empties have a very high quality and success rate.

Q: What's the difference between refilled and compatible or remanufactured ink and toner?

A: Generally, most refill shops will simply inject new ink or toner powder into the cartridge and send you on your way.  While at first the print quality may be acceptable, after time you will most likely experience a degrading print quality.

Q: Will compatible or remanufactured cartridge void my printer warranty?

A: No, please see the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act

Q: What if I have a problem with the cartridges I order?
A: We offer a 12 month warranty on all products we sell.  Generally when a product doesn't work, the chip or the mechanical parts are defective in some way.  We can ship you a replacement cartridge at no charge.

Q: Do you have product XYZ?
A: All products that we currently have in stock are listed on our website.  We suggest that you utilize our powerful search engine on the homepage http://www.professorink.com and enter in your printer model or cartridge number to see if we have your products in stock.  If your printer is fairly new, it may take a while for the remanufacturing process to have cartridges available for your printer.

Q: Do you have a contact phone number?
A: Yes we do, however we do not have a full time phone operator and most questions can be answered much more quickly through our online support system.  Please click the contact tab at the top of the page to submit a ticket.  If you need to contact us by phone, our number is 260-445-8048; however as previously mentioned you will most likely receive a response faster when submitting a ticket online.

Q: How long does it take to receive my order?
A: Most ink cartridge orders are shipped either USPS First Class Mail or Priority Mail depending on the size and quantity ordered.  Many of these orders are delivered within 2-5 business days.  We do offer expedited shipping services such as UPS 3 day, 2-day, and Next Day if you need your printer cartridges sooner.  Most toner cartridges are shipped either USPS Priority or UPS Ground, again depending on the size and where the product is being delivered to.

Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: YES!  Our checkout process handles international orders with no problem at all.  In fact we regularly ship products to customers outside of the United States and have very little issues.  Our international rates are calculated base on the actual cost from the carrier without any additional markup.  Most international customers find our shipping rates using USPS First Class Mail International may even be cheaper than ordering from company local to them.

A: Professor Ink was established in 2006 with a goal of offering printer cartridges at a deeply discounted price with excellent quality.  We were consumers just like you at one point and got tired of spending $50 or more just to print out some documents or pictures.
